Our headquarters hotel for ISFR 2013 Ski Week is The Camels Garden in Telluride, at the base of Telluride Ski Resort. We will also use The Ice House Lodge (1/2 block away) and The Peaks Resort & Spa, a gondola ride away in Mountain Village.

Please ADD your lift ticket pricing of $225 to the total due, per person to facilitate online registration process. 


Lodging at Telluride Hotels will be booked separately by each participant. For Camels Garden and Ice House, please call 888-772-2635; for The Peaks, please call 800-789-2220; ask for the ISFR Block at any of these hotels. You can select the accommodation that best fits your needs: Camels Garden ($199), Ice House ($150) or Peaks Resort & Spa ($169). Camels Garden and Ice House rooms are run-of-the-house and include suites, deluxe or standard rooms. A limited number of condos are available at a very nice discount, too. A 12.4% tax will be added to your room rates. 


The package, excluding lodging and lift tickets, is $450 per person. Remember to ADD your 5/6 day lift ticket pricing of $225 per person to your total.

Depart your home today for Telluride, CO. Telluride Express will pick you up at Montrose Airport (MTJ) on arrival for a scenic 1 ½ hour drive to the historic mining town of Telluride. Check-in to your hotel of choice, get settled and ready yourselves for our Welcome Reception at Camel’s Garden sunken lobby at 7 p.m.

Breakfast at Camels Garden and off to a fabulous day of skiing just a few steps away. Local Rotarians are waiting to guide you around the mountain; all levels of skiers are welcome. Hospitality Room will be open 9:30 to 5. An option today – a chance to learn fly-tying at a local shop and use them later in the week if you choose to go winter fly fishing. For those preregistered, this evening will be Home Hospitality, a free event but requires pre-registration.


Optional Events:

Fly-Tying Workshop:  Your chance to learn to make your own flies for use on your next fly-fishing excursion, maybe later this week if you decide to try winter fly-fishing.  Local experts will help you through the process and you keep your magnificent efforts.     2- 4 p.m. $35


Home Hospitality is this evening. While there is no charge for this event, advance registration on THIS form is required so we can properly prepare.  Enjoy an evening with our local Telluride Rotary Club hosts in their homes.  Don’t forget your gift or wine.  6 pm.

Breakfast at Camel’s Garden and a glorious day of skiing awaits you. Hospitality Suite is open all day. The optional tour today is to the Ames Power Plant, where alternating current had its beginning worldwide. This evening, enjoy a historic Pub Crawl to learn about the shady haunts of this historic town.


Optional Events:

Ames Power Plant Tour:  Here is your chance to see where alternating current got its start.  Hosted by our local manager, you’ll learn all about the beginnings of electricity in Telluride;  then off to the Historical Museum to experience interactive displays relating to L.L. Nunn, Nicolai Tesla and George Westinghouse.  A surprise lunch at historic Cornell House and you, too, can join the Pinheads.  $30

Historic Pub Crawl: Local pubs have a real place in Telluride’s past and you’ll walk through history as you visit three of them, experiencing those who lived it as you imbibe in drinks of your choice.  Historic beer mug, a taste of food, and a beer included.  Other drinks extra.  5:30-7:30  p.m.  $65

Breakfast at Camels Garden and another day to ski. Hospitality Room is open 9:30-5. An option today – Romancing the Radio, a chance to tour KOTO’s amazing history and get behind the scenes. Tonight is our Annual Meeting and light meal at Telluride’s historic Sheridan Opera House with a special surprise for our entertainment. Our Annual ISFR Picture will be taken so put on your happy faces.


Optional Events:

Romancing the Radio: includes a visit to local radio station, KOTO, to experience one of the few in the USA that remain free of underwriting.  See how the volunteer DJ’s do it, hear how this Telluride favorite evolved, and take home your own copy of the book. A true Telluride gem… FREE


Annual Meeting of ISFR:  Tonight is our Annual Meeting at the historic Sheridan Opera House; explore this beautiful building, have a light meal, get all the latest about ISFR from President Esio, and pose for our annual group picture, too.  Some very Special entertainment is planned on stage after the meeting. $20 for meal

After breakfast at Camels Garden, it’s our Peak to Valley Vertical Challenge led by local Rotarians, meeting us at the Gondola base. Our Joint Rotary Meeting is lunch at The Peaks Resort & Spa at noon. Hospitality Suite is open 9:30 to 5 yet again. For those who selected this option, there is a Knitting Soiree at Needle Rock Fibrearts, never-evers to advanced are welcome.


Optional Events:

Peak to Valley Vertical Challenge:  Bring your pledges to ensure some great fundraising for DBMF as you ski with local Rotarian guides.  All abilities are encouraged to participate.  Let’s set a new record this year in our fundraising efforts.         9:30 a.m.


Joint Rotary Meeting:  Join us for this annual gathering with our host, the Telluride Rotary Club;   we’ll ski in to The Peaks Resort & Spa at 12:30 for a buffet lunch and Rotary meeting.  Our local hosts plan a wonderful speaker so be sure to attend and bring your home club banner to exchange.  Make-up cards available, too.   $25


Knitting Soiree:  Always wanted to learn to knit and never took the time?  Or maybe you want to try something new?  Here’s your chance to join the gals at Needle Rock Fiberarts…ending with a finished item.  For beginners or those who have been knitting for years;  everything you need is included.   $50

Another full day to ski Telluride Mountain or to experience the Hospitality Suite. Today’s option is Fallen Angels of Telluride at the Historical Museum, a must to know the more colorful shady history of Telluride. Another option is tonight’s dinner sleigh ride up the mountain to Gorrono Ranch, a great opportunity to see its transformation into an evening venue!


Optional Events:

Fallen Angels of Telluride:  Once again, your chance to meet the Madams of Telluride, and learn about the colorful, shadier side of this historical town.  A special gift to each attendee from the gal who actually met some of these ladies.    $30


Dinner Sleigh Ride to Gorrono Ranch:  Experience dinner at mid-mountain as this popular lunch spot transforms into a beautiful evening venue.  Your snowcat pulled sleigh will get you there and back. 6 p.m.     $130   Limited numbers allowed.


First Thursday Art Walk:  If you prefer to keep your evening at your leisure, all of Telluride’s galleries will be open with new exhibits and refreshments along the way.  A map and notes about each will be available at registration.  4:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Free

Tonight is our Annual GALA at the Conference Center in Mountain Village, a short gondola ride away. Featured are the always popular dessert auction and our silent and live auction as we raise money for the Davis Boyd Memorial Foundation.

Our final breakfast together at Camels Garden this morning and then departures with transportation to Montrose Airport as scheduled. Another wonderful ISFR Ski Week is at its end once again.


Other Options

Other options will be available on arrival at registration including:  Snowshoe Hiking, Cross Country Skiing, Snowmobiling, Ice Skating and Winter Fly-fishing.


You can also plan to Heli-Ski, but ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED; call Telluride Helitrax at 970-728-8377 and ask for the ISFR Discount


Terms and Conditions

Deposits and Payments: A deposit of $300 per person payable to ISFR can be made immediately to secure your space at the 2013 ISFR Ski Week. Payments can be made online at: www.isfrski.org; click Events; Telluride; Register. Or, you can send a check.


The price and what it includes: The Ski Week package includes porterage at your hotel in Telluride, roundtrip transportation between Montrose Airport and hotels, Welcome Reception, daily breakfast at Camels Garden Hotel, Annual Meeting and Gala Banquet; Remember to ADD your 5/6 day lift ticket to final pricing. Prices are for registrations received by October 2, 2012 Registrations received between October 3 and November 30, 2012, add $50 per person. After December 1, 2012, if rooms are still available, add $75 per person. You can register by filling out the enclosed registration form or by going on-line to www.isfrski.org, then to Events/Telluride.


Travel Insurance: Tour Cancellation / Interruption insurance is highly recommended.


Single Reservations: Require an additional charge.


Final Payment: Payment of the final package balance including optional activities and lift tickets is due by November 30, 2012. Not Included: Air fare, hotels and taxes, meals other than those indicated, any optional activities as outlined in the Optional Tours Brochure.


Baggage: General limitations are two 62” bags at no more than 50 lbs. per bag. Fees may apply depending on airline used. Ski equipment is considered by most airlines to be a part of your normal baggage allowance. Contact your airline for specific limitations.


Cancellations: Cancellations must be made in writing to Lynne Beck, PO Box 1255, Telluride, CO 81435 or via e-mail to branchm@telluridecolorado.net. From time of deposit until Oct. 2, 2012, there is a $50 Administrative penalty per person. From Oct. 3, 2012, to Nov. 1, 2012, a $300 penalty per person will apply. After Nov. 1 a 100% penalty will apply.


Refunds: There are no refunds for any unused services or missed components of the trip.


Responsibility: Each person making reservations or participating in Ski Week 2013 understands and agrees to all terms, conditions, and limitations set forth in this brochure. In endeavoring to make arrangements with our suppliers for services and accommodations described in this brochure, ISFR acts strictly as an agent for same. ISFR shall not be responsible or liable for, and expressly disclaims any responsibility for any costs, injury, expenses or damage to persons or property which results directly or indirectly from any act, whether negligent or otherwise, of commission or omission, including but not limited to delays of any person, firm or corporation which is, or does provide products or services in connection with this trip. This also includes but is not limited to lodging, food and beverage,

entertainment,, luggage handling, or escorting. ISFR reserves the right to decline participation in ISFR 2013 Ski Week to any person for non-receipt of scheduled payments as described in this brochure.
