Thank you for your interest in donating to The Davis Boyd Memorial Foundation (DBMF). The focus of the foundation is to raise funds for adaptive ski programs.
During ISFR’s annual ski week, DBMF holds various fundraisers (Peak-to-Valley Challenges with sponsor support and member-sponsored auctions, to name just two) to raise money. A portion of the funds are donated to the local adaptive ski program. DBMF is a United States Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3) charity.
Why Adaptive Skiing?
Adaptive ski programs reach a wide variety of individuals, from adolescents to wounded warriors.
“We use recreation, therapy, and continued support to give people of all abilities a better life. Together, we bridge the gap between disability and belonging.”

Fellow Rotarians & Ski Enthusiasts:
On behalf of the Davis Boyd Memorial Foundation (DBMF), I look forward to seeing many of you at our Ski Week in Steamboat Springs, CO, January 25 – Feb. 1, 2025. For all of you, those able to attend and those not able to participate, we ask that you support our fundraising efforts this year in support of Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports (STARS), based in Steamboat, CO.
Please consider personally donating and raising funds for our Peak to Valley Challenge. No, you don’t have to ski 40,000 vertical feet—just ask for money! A Pledge/Donation form is attached to help you solicit donations. The pledge forms and checks, made out to Davis Boyd Memorial Foundation, can be mailed to Mark Dent, 801 W 33rd Street, Baltimore, MD 21211, or given to Mark at the ski week.
Also, please consider donating a significant auction item or package for the gala silent and live auctions. This could be anything from a weekend getaway to a unique piece of art. Complete the attached Auction Donation form and email it to jeffcoup@verizon.net by January 22.
I am thrilled to share that, thanks to your incredible generosity, the DBMF Board donated $30,000 to Oregon Adaptive Sports this past year. Your contributions have made a significant difference in supporting their adaptive programs!
Thank you in advance for your collective participation in supporting adaptive snow sports. Through our shared commitment, we are making a significant impact and changing lives!
I hope to see many of you at Steamboat Springs!
Yours in Rotary Service,
Jeff
